About SEBA
A small izakaya with a loud soul.
SEBA is an izakaya & sake bar in Blok M, South Jakarta — born from a love of Japanese izakaya cooking, sake, and music played from vinyl.
At SEBA the kitchen is open: the crackle of charcoal, tare dripping onto embers, and freshly cooked rice are part of the meal. We break down fish daily, grill yakitori skewer by skewer, and pour sake at the right temperature.
Music is half of SEBA's soul. Our vinyl collection spins every night — jazz, city pop, and whatever suits the glass in your hand.
Drop by alone after work, or fill a long table with your friends. Everyone deserves a place where they belong.
The Artist
Ray Janson
Head Chef
Behind SEBA's open kitchen stands Ray Janson — a head chef who treats every plate like a composition. To him, cooking isn't just technique but art: choosing the best fish of the day, grilling yakitori over precisely the right embers, and balancing flavour the way you'd arrange a song.
His hand runs through the entire SEBA menu — from precisely sliced sashimi to robatayaki creations born of restless experimentation. Ray is this restaurant's artist: the one who makes every visit feel like a performance.
